Job Description

Responsibilities:


  • The QE Architect is a senior technical position responsible for leading QE initiatives, developing the quality strategy and will be instrumental in driving industry standard testing methods. The architect sets the technical direction for test engineering and test automation requirements. Following are competencies needed:
  • Highly skilled in development and testing of software systems. Ability to design and develop tools and test frameworks. Based on quality strategy and milestone goals, provide test case development approaches & test methodologies, maximizing coverage. Well versed in QA strategy development for both functional and non-functional areas
  • Establish design principles for QA automation (functional and non-functional) testing. Present options and recommendations as needed. Design and maintain the test automation frameworks. Design and architect modular and reusable automated testing solutions that satisfy client requirements. Should be able to identify the new automation opportunities. Keep current with advances in automation methodologies and tools. Research, evaluation, and deployment of new test tools is a necessity
  • Can have in depth design discussions of the system under test (SUT). Influence the development and program management teams on technical implementation and user scenarios. Experience in working with Customers and Product Marketing to understand customer use cases, sift through the customer needs & data to create the right test strategy.
  • Define approach to test entire systems; Design, plan, execute, monitor, improve testing process for a testing project/program; Oversee/ensure the quality of test plans, test cases, test matrix, and bug reporting. Works closely with development and the test team to meet the quality objectives of the program.
  • Extensive scripting (Python) and development experience in a broad range of programming languages (Java, C, C++, C#) in the Windows and Linux environment. Experience in CI/CD environments is a must. Deep technology understanding with hands on experience in Firmware (Software) is desirable.
  • Excellent communications skills, proven leadership skills, software development experience, deep understanding of formal quality engineering techniques and tools. Represent the quality organization in various internal program forums and industry forums.
  • Effectively mentors and coaches’ teams of quality engineers.

Education and Experience Required:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
