FLSmidth's Professional Service department is looking for Field Engineers to provide onsite support for it's Projects / aftermarket business in India. The primary responsibilities will be related to Installation, troubleshooting, technical leadership for Projects & Aftermarket Services of FLSmidth proprietary equipment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in FLSmidth's product portfolio. Experience in reliability, root cause analysis and Project scheduling are also desired. This position will require Extensive travel to customer sites both planned and occasionally on short notice.


Job Responsibilities:


  • Supervision of E&I installation/ testing/ commissioning activities at site.
  • Coordination with customer, contractors. Vendor & HO.
  • Maintain daily diary on site activities.
  • Preparation of instruction sheets / advice notes to customer
  • Preparation of weekly schedules & punch list jobs.
  • Inspection of FLS supplied equipment /parts & reporting back to HO.
  • Advising customer on site storage, equipment protection of FLS supplied equipment.
  • Adhering to Customer safety rules and regulations.
  • Ensure quality of job done by customer and contractor
  • Preparation of MOMs with customer and vendors as and when required.
  • Preparation of weekly reports ,CAPA & Special reports and forward to HO
  • Participation in Cold and Hot commissioning and preparation of reports with customer and contractor.
  • Plant start up , load trials & optimization
  • Advice customer on plant operation & maintenance.
  • Must have site experience on E&I installation and Commissioning activities                      
  • Strong  Technical Knowledge about PLC, Field instruments and LV Electrical Equipment (LV Motors, MCC and PDBs) and FLS Standard to respective area
  • Adequate expertise to trouble shooting.
  • Focuses is both technical and leadership with execution targets (budgets).
  • Interacts with technical personnel in the field and on the leadership level.
  • Evaluates quality issues for the project, the machines and the system together.
  • Manages support from head quarters to provide technical solutions.
  • Identifies potential opportunities for FLSmidth products and services.
  • Plans and organizes the job so that execution is on target (time).
  • Advises customer and contractors on proper procedures and processes to guarantee technical specifications.
  • Travelling to domestic and global site for Commissioning


    Prior Experience in


  • PLC/DCS programming/testing/Commissioning for Siemens/Rockwell/ABB/Schneider Systems.  
  • Programming/testing of Intelligent MCCs
  • SCADA/HMI programming/testing.
  • Experience in FLS- Automation ECS (v7/v8) will be an added advantage.

What you bring:


  • Bachelor's degree / Diploma in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering
  • 12 years of proven experience in cement / mining industry or other equipment / technology related.
  • 5 years of proven experience in installation / commissioning / maintenance
  • Leadership experience in project / aftermarket services for the cement / mining industries
