The Solution Engineer Senior is amedium level to advanced level software developer with the ability tomeetdeliverydatesandqualitytomeetbudgets,milestones,anddeadlinesforassignedprojects.Alltheprimaryresponsibilities andskills are assumed.The person in this position is expected to attain mastery of RSM’s SDLC and knowing which SDLC activities and deliverables are required, scaling them to each project.They can resolve moderate to difficult problems, lead the resolution of those problems, while demonstrating expertise in a varietyof technicalconcepts, practices, andprocedures.TheSolution Engineer Seniorcan workindependently while makingsounddecisions that move projects forward effectively.


This role also arranges mentoring by other team members while taking ownership of skill growth of their project team and other projects.This role is expected toescalate issues to Director/Lead in a timely manner to prevent project delays and take ownership of estimating development effort for these projects.The incumbent must foster a team environment where all members are included in the solution and leadership isaware ofall actions beingtaken. Their team includes other Engineers, Senior Engineers, Lead Engineers, Admins, Senior Admins and Lead Admins.One of the primary responsibilities istoprovideL3Support fortheFirm’s applications,whichincludestimelyresponsetoServiceDesk issueswhilemanagingdevelopment tasks.


1. Construction and unit testing of software on various platforms including web, desktop, and client server. Uses available technologies to create reusable, extendable, and maintainable systems, and components


2.Analysis of existing systems, implementation of requirements and change requests into design deliverables


3. Requires planning, delegation, and status with management. Able to see beyond the specific project and advise leadership of issues, risks, and more strategic methods to implement the project. Influences peers and networks well across the IT organization and into the Business organization


4.Communication with project team members including assisting QA with testing of software, assist tech lead and project management with estimation, planning, and project status, and assistance with identifying project issues and risks


5. Review, validation, and interpretation of business and non-functional requirements. Interaction with Business Analysts and Business contacts


6. Other duties as assigned


EDUCATION


Bachelor’sdegreepreferredinComputerprogramming,Information Systems or similar field, or equivalent work experience in a computer-related field.


TECHNICALSKILLS


Power Platform experience including but not limited to Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Page development


SharePoint Framework (SPFx)


Advanced Microsoft PnP PowerShell


HTML, CSS, XML, Azure DevOps, JavaScript


SharePointOnlineAppModelDevelopment


SharePointOnlineFeatureandSolutionDevelopment


EXPERIENCE


8 ormoreyears ofexperienceinthefieldorinarelatedarea


FamiliaritywithWindows,Clientserver,SharePointandWebbased development


Familiaritywith Agile and DevOps Tools which contribute to the SoftwareDevelopmentLifeCycle
