M-plane SW Lead/Architect

Role Summary

This is a full-time on-site role located in Bengaluru for an M-plane Development Lead/Architect. The M-plane Development Lead/Architect is responsible for leading, designing and developing key areas of the Mavenir 4G and 5G Radio M-Plane modules. The incumbent is expected to contribute and lead a development team of engineers, work collaboratively with Product Line Managers, Architects, and other Platform leads, and take ownership of developing high-performance and reliable OAM software solutions. Also responsible for maintaining ORAN spec compliance for Radio products.

Key Responsibilities

Job Requirements

• Overall experience of 10-15 years in Telecom industry
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science, or a related field
• Experience in working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
• Excellent skills in C/C++ programming and real-time systems development on Linux platforms
• OAM/M-plane development experience – Netconf, Yang, XML, JSON
• Proficient with Open RAN M-plane specification, IOT and conformance
• Good understanding on TCP/IP networking – routes, VLAN, MAC, DHCP etc.
• Good understanding on 4G and 5G call flows.
• Exposure to PTP sync and SyncE
• Hands on experience with tools like sysrepoctl, netopeer2-cli, Wireshark dissectors etc.
• Experience with O-RAN Network Architecture and Standards is preferred.
• Proven track record of delivering and maintaining high-performance, reliable software systems.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum/Kanban development methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to design and develop solutions meeting complex functional and non-functional requirements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, ability to articulate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Shall be great team player - work across functional teams and give technical guidance to team.
