Purpose
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Export specialist to join our team. As an Import Export specialist, you will play a crucial role in managing the logistics and documentation involved in international trade. You will work closely with the Import Export Manager to ensure the smooth flow of goods and compliance with customs regulations. The ideal candidate is proactive, possesses excellent communication skills, and has a strong understanding of import-export procedures.
The Import Specialist oversees import transactions under the direction of the Trade Compliance Manager, Sr. Mgr-Logistics & Trade Compliance/SCM Manager.
Functions
ESSENTIAL
§Responsible for interaction with Customs Brokers to ensure all imports are conducted in accordance with import regulations.Including, but not limited to, providing instruction on manner of import, HTS classifications and other documentation.
NON-ESSENTIAL
·Provides support to all business units and to global trade operations related to import compliance.
·Actively works across functions to ensure that import compliance is maintained while ensuring that overall organization objectives are supported.
·Evaluate and track changes in import trade laws and regulations. Develop necessary changes in procedures as required by these changes. Effectively communicate these changes to appropriate personnel.
·Provide operational trade compliance support as directed by Sr Manager, Global Logistics and Trade Compliance and Trade Compliance Manager/SCM manager.
·Travel on a limited basis is needed.
Supervisory Responsibilities
§This position has NO supervisory responsibilities.
Reporting Relationship
§Reports to Sr Manager, Global Logistics and Trade Compliance /SCM manager.
Qualifications
REQUIRED
§Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, logistics or equivalent work experience.
§Minimum 58 years of experince in import/export .
