Role Description
-Surface and air transport on national level.
-Sea and air transport on international level
-Regulations, and tax compliance for moving cargo nationally an internationally.
-Imports, Exports and custom formalities.
-Co-ordination between factory accounts, sales persons and end customer.
-Co-ordination with overseas supplier, freight forwarder, CHA and production department.
-Negotiation of rates for various sectors with freight forwarders and CHA.
-Coordination with the freight forwarders and ensure logistics as per promised time frames.
-Plan dispatch schedule as per orders.
-Implement necessary proper marking on consignment.
-Prepare supporting outward documents.
-Arrange for labour & transport for lifting consignment.
-Line up with transport agency for tracking consignment in transit.
-Interact with consignee to ensure intact receipt of consignment and obtain POD.
COMMERCIAL FUNCTIONS :
-Bill verification of supplier for payments.
-Prepare credit and debit notes.
-Periodic evaluation of transporters performance v/s agreement.
