General Summary:
Qualcomm invites embedded software engineers to join us to be part of the GNSS measurement engine software team, developing Location technologies. Qualcomm GNSS location team works on the architecture, design, implementation, and validation of systems for world class location and navigation technology. The candidate shall work on measurement engine software development to ensure optimum and robust multi-frequency, multi-constellation GNSS systems. The position entails developing the latest GNSS receivers for a diverse set of use cases including mobile phones, automotive, IOT, wearables, drones, PCs, and precision applications.
In this position, you will be responsible for
Design, develop, review, and maintain embedded code in C/C++ & assembly language
Work in multi-threaded architecture involving inter-process communication, several SW/FW interfaces
Collaborate with Hardware team to verify hardware features and debug hardware issues
Collaborate with Systems team for algorithmic development, digital signal processing and implementation
Collaborate with test team to diagnose and debug system level functional and performance issues.
Minimum Qualifications:
Background in digital signal processing
6 to 12 years of Strong proficiency in programming with C language. Experience in C++ and using Linked list is a plus.
Knowledge of real-time embedded code design and development, RTOS and multi-threaded SW design.
Knowledge of assembly language programming is a plus.
Should be independent, and fast learning of new technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Understanding GNSS receiver concepts and operation is an advantage
Background in GNSS measurement engine receiver design, acquisition, and tracking
Familiarity with QUALCOMM tools is a plus
Experience in MIPS profiling, memory, and power optimization
Experience with ARM development and debugging tools such as TRACE32
Knowledge of WWAN ( WCDMA, LTE, 5G ) and other communication protocols is a plus
