Job Title: LINUX - Support Specialist
Location:Pune, Maharashtra, India
What you will do:
As a LINUX Support Specialist, you will provide expert-level technical support for LINUX systems, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. Your role will involve troubleshooting complex issues and providing solutions to enhance system functionality. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement system upgrades and improvements.
How you will do it:
- Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for LINUX environments, handling escalated issues from the helpdesk.
- Diagnose and resolve system failures, performance issues, and outages in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with system administrators and network engineers to ensure a secure and efficient infrastructure.
- Monitor system performance and conduct regular maintenance to ensure high availability.
- Document support processes and maintain knowledge base articles for common issues and solutions.
- Participate in on-call support rotation as needed.
- Assist in the deployment of new LINUX servers and applications.
What we look for:
- Minimum 6 years of experience in LINUX system administration and support.
- Strong understanding of LINUX operating systems and scripting languages (e.g., Shell, Python).
- Experience with virtualization technologies and cloud platforms.
- Proficient in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Red Hat Certified Engineer) are a plus.
