Role: Legal Manager/Sr.Manager
Location: Ghansoli, Navi Mumbai
JOB PURPOSE
Works closely with clients to manage a case from beginning to end. He/She conducts research to properly advise clients, develops litigation strategies, gathers evidence to support claims, prepares legal documents, and represents clients in court.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Claims management
- Receive claims intimations from various member entities in Group of Companies.
- Collect and consolidate claim details, information and documents.
- Prepare Statement of facts, risk analysis and report claim to the Insurer.
- Claim tracking, data consolidation, reporting and record management and feed details accurately into claims management data.
- Liasioning with member entities in Companies, external experts, lawyers, Surveyors and Insurers.
- Claim analysis, claim mitigation and cost reduction.
- Risk management and compliance process.
- Settlement process management and referring complex and high value claims to Management.
- Container repair monitoring and tracking of claims.
- Providing advice and guidance on making a claim and the processes involved.
- Reporting any complaints, internal policy deviations, employee fraud associated with the claim.
- Adhering to legal requirements, industry regulations and quality standards set by the Insurer.
- Provide effective and accurate advice based on a strong working knowledge of policy terms and conditions.
- Review reported claims and achieve settlement within designated personal authority level, in line with established standards, procedures and guidance provided.
- Manage in house interactions in an efficient, courteous and timely manner in order to deliver high standards in level of service and continuous operational efficiency.
- Support administrative requirements, undertake service feedback assessments on a regular basis.
Contract Management
- Responsible for Document Management and to Draft, review and negotiate contracts and auxiliary papers.
- Manage contract management system, develop standard contracts, formats, general conditions, basic compliance check list, third party vetting etc.
- Perform appropriate clinical, administrative and operational research to support contract development.
- Conduct contract strategy meetings to identify issues and obtain senior management inputs and execute negotiation strategies.
- Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text, annexure, timelines, obligations, compliance and communicate on an ongoing basis.
- Interface with insurance companies regarding adequacy of coverage and compliance requirements.
- Serve as primary organizational contact during contract negotiations or closely work with commercial / management team to achieve best terms in Group's interest.
- Consistent management and review of all contracts by closely liasioning with internal departments.
- Work closely with the Management in legal department's processes, procedures and activities to ensure on-time and right first-time services.
- Recording instructions and communications relating to the file on the contract management system in order to retain a full audit trail.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Educational Qualification(s): LLB or Equivalent
Prior Experience: Min 7 years
