A Day in the LifeWe are seeking a highly qualified individual with dual qualifications as a Legal Professional (LLB). The ideal candidate will provide legal advisory services for the company, which includes: advising on a broad range of legal topics including commercial contracts, property laws, employment law and disputes, corporate matters, litigation/arbitration, medical device regulations; and all combined with a robust and process-driven approach to the management of legal matters in accordance with local law and the Medtronic policies and procedures.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Provide legal advice and assistance on matters related to corporate laws, contracts, and compliance with legal and regulatory frameworks.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents ensuring the company's interests are protected.
- Providing legal support to the Government/private Tender reviews.
- Manage litigation and coordinate with external legal counsel for any disputes or proceedings.
- Monitor changes in relevant legislation and regulatory environment and ensure the company adapts to these changes.
- Provide operational support on the daily activities of the local operations, including rendering support to the various functions (HR, Finance, etc.)
- Prepare and conduct meetings and training sessions with employees on Medtronic policies and procedures.
- Support the India Legal team on new processes and projects to ensure local implementation and effective incorporation of legal requirements.
- Create and update contract templates based on best practices and evolving legal standards to reduce risk and increase efficiency.
- Effectively manage relationships with outside counsel to maximize the quality of representation and minimize legal expenses.
- Liaise with directors, auditors, lawyers, and government authorities on behalf of the company.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized university.Strong understanding of
corporate laws,
contract laws, and other regulatory frameworks.Proven experience in managing legal matters.
JOB EXPERIENCEMinimum of
7-9 years of post-qualification experience preferably in a corporate or law firm environment.
Experience with the Pharma or Medical Devices industry preferred. Physical Job Requirements
