As a legal counsel you will be part of the Legal & compliance team in FLS India. You key responsibility will be to advice business on the risk mitigation for contracts and other corporate legal matters.
1. Draft, vet and negotiate contracts with clients. Be a part of negotiations for settlement, claims and other contractual issues with the client.
2. Drive efficiency and implementation of best practices on contract risk management .
3. Co-ordinate with various functions and provide timely legal advice on various corporate issues.
4. Proactively assess risk and have detailed mitigation plan in place. Resolves issues in best manner by developing cordial relationship with all the stake holders.
5. Prepare strong risk & opportunity reports, mitigation plans to overcome the risks and propose to the management.
6. Provide timely and practical legal advice to various departments on a wide range of corporate legal matters
7. Conduct detailed training sessions for employees on legal and compliance topics as per the company guidelines.
8. Conduct investigations into local compliance issues, including regulatory and internal policy adherence, and provide recommendations for corrective actions in collaboration with Group Compliance.
A Legal Counsel with 5-7 years' experience, out of which at least 3 years must be in contract management. Strong communication skills and the ability to convey and stand by your opinion is a must. Should have a collaborative mindset to work with various parts of the organization to find business solutions.
