As a Lead User Researcher, you will lead our research efforts and guide the product teams in making informed decisions based on user needs, behavior, and feedback. You will be an advocate for our customers. This role requires hands-on experience conducting research and managing a team. You will mentor a team of user researchers and product designers and drive innovation in our research methodologies. We are looking for someone who is passionate about solving problems with deep customer empathy and does not shy away from challenges. What You Will Do
Leads strategic research to inform deep knowledge of users or product opportunities keeping in mind the big picture
Able to handle multiple spaces (user/product/domain) that are ambiguous
Leverages mixed methods (qualitative and quantitative) to conduct generative, formative, and summative research to influence product development and design direction
Build strong relationships with Product, Design, Content, and Engineering and be a trusted collaborator to inform product strategy and roadmaps
Purposefully prioritize programs that are most impactful and facilitate informed decisions that influence overall product strategy
Strengthen and orchestrate UX research processes so everyone on the product team can empathize with our users
Educates cross-functional team on how to conduct research with a high degree of rigor
Build, mentor, and coach a team of user researchers, and provide guidance and support to help them grow and develop their skills
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in user research and incorporate them into our research methodologies
Who You Are
Minimum of 6+ years of relevant experience in user/product/ UX research space
Excels at problem-solving and trouble-shooting
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment that fosters change, creativity, and flexibility
Has a strong portfolio articulating research findings, methods, and recommendations
Has working knowledge of UX research tools e.g., Dovetail, Hotjar, Lookback, etc.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present actionable insights
