Overview
The Mastercard Connect team is looking for a Lead Front-End Software Development Engineer to create and drive the next generation of great user experiences for Mastercard’s primary customer-facing website. We’re looking for a collaborative, visually-motivated engineer interested in building fluid, pixel-perfect web experiences. The ideal candidate has experience working in modern component frameworks, is versed in the latest tools, has strong sensibilities for user experiences and a product-driven mindset.
Role
• Lead the design, implementation, and delivery for engineering efforts across a program
• Design, build technical roadmaps and guide the development staff on adoption
• Translate UX designs into high quality components that are modular, functional and testable
• Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing
• Have strong ownership of component interface design with an eye towards future implementations.
• Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.
About You:
• Experience building responsive Single Page Web Applications using modern front-end technologies such as ReactJS, Angular, HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript;
• Experience with Agile development methodologies including unit testing, test-driven development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD), Pair Programming, and Automated Testing;
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in active adherence to SDLC methodologies such as Agile or Incremental and working knowledge of SCRUM is a plus;
• Deep understanding of contemporary API and architectural concepts (REST, Microservices, etc.)
• Proven understanding of OOAD, design patterns, and application development processes and practices with focus on reusability, extensibility, and performance;
• Solid understanding of software development environments, source control techniques, and continuous integration
• Passion and experience in coaching and mentoring junior and senior software engineers.
• Self-motivated team player who excels in a collaborative environment
• Own the Product from technical standpoint and drive architectural discussions across other products to ensure alignment with the rest of the product suite
