As a Lead Technical Program Manager in Commercial & Investment Bank's Prime Finance Tech team, you will drive the successful delivery of complex technology projects and programs that will help reaching business goals across the firm. Leveraging your deep knowledge of technical principles, practices, and theories is essential for developing innovative solutions, while simultaneously effectively managing resources, budgets, and high-performing teams. Your strong analytical reasoning and adaptability skills will enable you to navigate through ambiguity and change, ensuring that technology initiatives align with business goals. With advanced communication and stakeholder management abilities, you will foster productive working relationships and influence decision-making to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes. As a subject matter expert, you will contribute to the development of operational plans and risk management strategies, ensuring the highest quality and professionalism in service delivery.


Job responsibilities


  • Develop and implement a comprehensive governance framework for technology programs to meet program objectives
  • Monitor ongoing projects to evaluate progress. Act and escalate appropriately when there are issues or blockers
  • Monitor and manage dependencies, program performance, risks, and issues, and facilitate resolution and mitigation strategies.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders, including technology leads; product development and business to ensure alignment and support 
  • Communicate program status, risks, and issues to stakeholders, providing transparency and fostering trust.
  • Identify, assess, and manage risks associated with technology programs, ensuring proactive measures are in place to mitigate potential impacts.
  • Develop and maintain a risk register and ensure regular risk reviews are conducted.
  • Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure program success and effectiveness.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on program performance, risks, and issues to senior leadership and governance committees.
  • Understands the budget process and helps in managing the end-to-end process 
  • Track hiring & other organizational metrics and communicate with leads 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
  • Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk management, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong understanding of agile; JIRA and managing dashboards
  • Strong experience in managing execution of end-to-end technology programs and dependency management
  • Ability to collaborate geographically distributed and culturally diverse workgroups with strong team management, leadership, and coaching skills 
  • Understanding of budgeting process and risk management
  • Strong knowledge of products like Microsoft Office/Visio/Projects, as well as agile software development tools
  • Experience working with high-performing teams involving complex program execution

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills


  • 10+ years experience in program management; project management or agile certification is a plus
