Role Overview
We are excited to identify talented Technical Leads that will help to drive excellence within our engineering teams in Kantar!
The Technical Lead will thrive when presented with complex new challenges on our Kantar Automation Platform project and will serve as a Technical Lead and mentor to other engineers within our program!
As a Technical Lead for Kantar on KAP, you will lead a team of engineers in developing first class .Net services for one of Kantar’s largest projects. This will be a great opportunity for an experienced .Net engineer who is aiming to get onto a large project within an organization that is evolving its offer rapidly.
Key Responsibilities
Work with other engineering leads and teams who are aligned towards the same goal with many opportunities for cross-team influence, architecture, and collaboration.
Support the technical direction and enhancements for microservices written in .Net that your team manages
Mentor, and support career growth of your direct reports
Manage performance within your team
Design and build new microservices and help to bring them to production quickly
Be a key contributor in setting the team’s technical direction, best practices for team
Be a key contributor in the creation of technical roadmap for team and services that the team manages
The Technical Lead and full stack engineers will work closely with Product Manager, Business Analysts, and other Development teams to define requirements that they can use to implement with best-in-class technology
Capabilities and experience
This role is perfect for an automation tester with expertise in Playwright, Cypress, or SpecFlow. If you want to advance your testing career and have a significant impact on the automation and quality of the KAP project, this opportunity is for you.
Essential experience
8+ years of experience with .net and C#
Deep knowledge of object-oriented design
Knowledge and experience working with Restful services
3+ years of experience managing development of a software application as a Technical Lead in previous roles.
2+ years of experience managing development team members as a Technical Lead
Desirable experience
Prefer experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems
Knowledge and experience developing on a Microservices architecture
Knowledge and experience with Large Language Models and developing solutions with Generative AI
Essential skills
Deep knowledge of object-oriented design
Strong foundation in developing solutions that are deployed in the cloud - Microsoft Azure preferably
Good understanding of full stack development
Demonstrable skills with to training mentoring a Squad of back-end engineers
Demonstrable skills in building and define a technical roadmap for a software application
Demonstrable experience in delegating tasks within the team to ensure development goals are met
Desirable skills
Knowledge and experience with performance / load testing complex applications
Personal skills
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Ability to influence others to your opinions
Ability to break down complex problems into logical and manageable constructs
Desire and capability to innovate (within the scope and requirements of stakeholders)
Demonstrable capability to work across teams and deliver on multiple projects at once
Demonstrable willingness to see through a project from inception to completion and provide technical feedback across the project lifecycle
Happy to get hands dirty when problems arise
Ability to plan, schedule and monitor own work in a systematic and analytical manner within a limited time horizon
Educational requirements
Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
