Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Java Back-End Developer with proven experience of 5+ years to join our dynamic team. Will be responsible for developing and maintaining back-end services and RESTful APIs, ensuring high performance and responsiveness to requests from the front-end. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in threading and messaging systems, and will be accountable for developing and maintaining robust back-end services.


Key Responsibilities:


Back-end Development:


Develop and maintain back-end services.


Requirement Gathering:


Collaborate with Business Analysts (BAs) or product managers to gather and clarify both functional and non-functional requirements.


Translate requirements into technical designs.


Design Review:


Review system designs to ensure they meet required LSEG standards and reliability criteria.


Technical Governance:


Provide design recommendations and supervise the technical aspects of software design, development, and testing.


Partner Engagement:


Actively engage with business proposition, product management, project management, and support teams.


Technology Research:


Research new and emerging technologies.


Lead technology evaluations and advice management.


Sprint Management:


Plan and handle sprint activities to ensure timely and efficient project progress.


Training:


Deliver training and support to coworkers to enhance their skills and knowledge. Maintain equal opportunity within the team.


Qualifications:


Demonstrable experience in back-end development and RESTful API design.


Solid grasp of system design principles, including performance, scalability, maintainability, reusability, and reliability.


Social skills and Tight-knit collaboration !


Ability to engage with various partners and provide technical guidance.


Experience with agile methodologies and sprint planning.


Continuous learning demeanor and ability to research and evaluate new technologies.


Leadership skills and experience in training and mentoring team members.
