We are currently seeking a Lead Software Engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-quality, high-performance software solutions for life sciences devices.


In this role, you will be responsible for:


  • Drive the instrument software development work in a collaborative team environment
  • Carry out all phases of software development, including requirement specification, design, implementation, software integration, testing, and documentation required to meet company procedures
  • Take ownership of the design and implementation of software modules
  • Collect inputs from stakeholders, develop concepts, and conduct feasibility studies
  • Mentor junior software developers and technically lead the design and development
  • Execute quality assurance activities such as risk analysis, technical reviews, and code inspections
  • Undertake software maintenance efforts
  • Support the continuous improvement of the software development process
  • Work in an iterative product release environment, continuously focusing on quality and delivery goals.

The required qualifications for the job include:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field
  • 8+ years of experience in commercial software development with hands-on experience in C++ / C# on Linux-based systems
  • 1+ years of experience using C# / Java / QT with any database such as PostgreSQL
  • Solid understanding of software design principles
  • Demonstrated analytical, problem-solving, and excellent communication and collaboration skills for a cross-functional team.
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:


  • Experience working with WPF
  • Understanding of software development processes in a regulated environment
  • Software development experience in the life sciences / medical device domain
  • Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies
  • Experience using containerization technologies
  • Experience with Maven, Jenkins etc.
