Job DescriptionLead Software DeveloperThis position is for a skilled React Developer to join our UI development team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building and maintaining user-friendly web application using React.js. The candidate will collaborate with designers, backend developers and product managers to build flawless and efficient user experience. Experience in an Agile environment, CI/CD, is crucial along with a proven background in React, Javascript, HTML and CSS. As the Lead React Web Application Developer, you will be responsible for driving the development of our web applications, ensuring the delivery of outstanding user experiences, and mentoring a talented team of engineers. You will work closely with designers, product managers, and other developers to build and maintain multifaceted, high-performance web applications. You will also help define best practices, standards, and architectural decisions for the front-end development team.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the development of scalable and performant React-based web applications.Collaborate with multi-functional teams to define product features and user requirements.Drive technical decision-making and architecture for front-end applications.Mentor and guide junior and mid-level developers, providing support in debugging, code reviews, and design discussions.Develop reusable and efficient components and libraries.Ensure code quality by implementing standard processes for code structure, testing, and version control.Optimize applications for maximum performance across a wide variety of devices and browsers.Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in front-end development.Lead efforts to improve development workflows and enhance efficiency (e.g., through automation, continuous integration).Supply to the overall technical vision and strategy of the company’s product.Collaborate with UX/UI designers to implement user interfaces.Primary Skills:5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development.Consistent record of leading development teams and delivering web applications at scale.Good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate in a fast-paced, agile environment.Good experience with React.js and related libraries (eg: Redux, React Router, etc)Strong proficiency in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, Typescript, and modern web development tools (Webpack, Babel, etc.).Demonstrable experience with RESTful APIs and asynchronous request handlingSolid understanding of front-end performance optimization techniques.Experience with GitLabKnowledge of adaptable design principles and frameworks.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Experience with Agile methodologies.Knowledge of front-end debugging using chrome dev tools.Knowledge of writing tests for front end code using framework like Karma, Jasmine etc.Experience in static code analysis tools like sonarcube, Blackduck, SemmgrepExperience with build & deploy using CI/CDKnowledge about MangoBD (good to have)Basic knowledge of AzureAbout Company:LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is more than a diversified global financial markets infrastructure and data business.
