What is the Lead / Senior Software Engineer responsible for?
  • Franklin Templeton seeks a Senior Frontend Developer for our offices in Hyderabad, India.


  • This role is for a talented Senior Frontend developer who will be responsible for designing and leading the creation of multiple internal and client facing experiences. The experiences will be responsive, performant and deliver the power of the underlying backend platform to its consumers in an aesthetically pleasing manner#MID_SENIOR_LEVEL


What are the ongoing responsibilities of the Lead / Senior Software Engineer?
  • Builds quality user-friendly web/mobile experiences that conforms to engineering best practices, including writing well-documented, easily readable code.


  • Builds high quality mockups, prototypes, and designs.


  • Establish frameworks and workshops to elicit requirements and feedback from users and customers.


  • Build modular layouts, reusable code and libraries for future use


  • Help set technical standards and best practices for the front-end team


  • Collaborate with other back-end developers, web designers, and other stakeholders to develop web/mobile experiences that is consistent with our brand guidelines.


  • Stays abreast of emerging web architecture technologies, and recommends new technologies for implementation, where appropriate.


  • Accepts and Provides feedback around code construction, process/retrospectives, process between your team and others.


  • Create and maintain automated tests to ensure quality and save time


  • Provide accurate estimates for user story completion


What ideal qualifications, skills and experience would help someone to be successful?
  • BS (or higher) in Computer Science (or related field)


  • 7-14 years of hands-on coding experience including markup languages like HTML/CSS, Bootstrap.


  • An understanding of Core JavaScript, jQuery


  • In-depth knowledge of the Angular (or React) framework


  • Experience with prototyping and wireframing tools.


  • Experience with RESTful API, Web Sockets


  • Knowledge of Server-side concepts like NodeJS


  • Hands-on experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).


  • Experience with DevOps CI/CD pipelines (Git, Bamboo, Jira)


  • Financial Services experience is highly desirable


Work Shift Timings - 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST
