Lead Salesforce Developer

Summary of Position:

IT Systems Software Analysis & Programming focuses on programming & configuration of IT Systems Software (i.e. software for use in operating/controlling hardware and providing a platform for running internal end user/business applications). The work includes: •Identifying and analyzing business needs, conducting requirements gathering, and defining scope and objectives for the IT System •Developing programming specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts •Writing code in lower-level programming languages to optimize the performance and efficiency of an organization’s IT platform/infrastructure •Configuring, customizing, diagnosing, and enhancing vendor systems software (e.g., operating systems software and utilities that manage access to peripherals, facilitate networking, manage memory allocation, manage file storage on hard drives, etc.) •Writing diagnostic programs to test integrated software/hardware systems and resolve system faults •Creating functional and technical documentation of systems software programs and code.

Alcon is looking for an experienced and driven Lead Salesforce Developer to join our innovative team. The Lead Salesforce Developer will play a pivotal role in guiding the development team, providing technical leadership, and ensuring that Salesforce solutions are effectively designed, developed, and implemented to meet our business needs. This role requires a deep understanding of Salesforce technologies, strong leadership skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on large-scale initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to the Salesforce development team, ensuring that best practices and coding standards are upheld.
• Lead grooming sessions, providing guidance on the level of effort required for development tasks and helping to prioritize work.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy custom Salesforce solutions using Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components.
• Act as the technical point of contact for large initiatives, providing expertise and direction to ensure successful project delivery.
• Integrate Salesforce with other internal and external applications, ensuring seamless data flow and system interoperability.
• Maintain and enhance existing Salesforce applications, ensuring they meet evolving business needs.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance within the Salesforce environment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Salesforce applications, providing guidance to developers on best practices.
• Participate in Agile development processes, contributing to sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in Salesforce development.
• Proven experience in leading development teams and providing technical guidance.
• Strong expertise in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, and Salesforce integration.
• Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and Marketing Cloud.
• Excellent problem-solving, critical-thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I & II

Preferred:

• Salesforce Administration 201 Certification.
• Experience with Salesforce CPQ and Billing.
• Knowledge of Agile development methodologies.
• Experience working on large-scale Salesforce implementations or transformations.

Work hours: 1 PM to 10 PM IST
