What you will be doing:


Job Description:


  • Experience 8 to 12 Years
  • Development Engineer will be responsible for design, development, delivery, and support of the Retirement Engineering group.
  • Interacts with product managers and/or users to define system requirements and/or necessary modifications.
  • Participates in software design meetings and analyzes user needs to determine technical requirements.
  • Write functional and technical specifications based on conceptual design and stated business requirements.
  • Writes code, completes programming, and performs testing and debugging of applications using current programming languages and technologies.
  • Completes all the required documentation and procedures.
  • Trains and communicates with internal Client Training, Client Relationship and Sales teams on systems application.
  • May deliver informational and decision-seeking presentations to technical and business groups to internal and/or external audiences.
  • Should be able to provide On-Call production support, when needed.
  • Other related duties assigned as needed.

What you bring?


  • 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Design, code and test major features, and work jointly with other team members to deliver complex areas of functionality under tight deadlines.
  • Document specifications, design areas, test results, and solutions implemented.
  • Code corrections for identified defects for new and existing releases of the software.
  • Ensure compliance with predefined coding best practices.
  • Ensure adherence to processes as required by the project.
  • Update the manager of the progress on module, flag risks and issues early in the process.
  • Coordinate with lead programmer(s) and business analyst(s) with focus on effective communication from a delivery perspective.
  • The individual may be required to work on multiple areas simultaneously (development, platform releases, installations, conversions, support, training, etc.)
  • Ability to create Physical and logical data models using Databases below.

Skills: Must Have


  • Snowflake and Data warehousing concepts
  • Databases (Postgres, Oracle, DB2 etc.)
  • Snaplogic or any ETL.

· AWS


Qualifications


· Degree or equivalent


· Demonstrated ability to analyze complex situations and learn new processes and technologies quickly.


· Previous experience in the Financial Services Industry, specifically as related to defined contribution and define benefits administration.

· Excellent communicator – ability to discuss technical and commercial solutions to internal and external parties and adapt depending on the technical or business focus of the discussion.


· Attention to detail – track record of authoring high quality documentation.
