Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled and diligent Lead QA Engineer to supervise the testing of our web application. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality, functionality, and performance of our web-based products. You will lead a team of QA engineers, develop and implement comprehensive test strategies, and collaborate with multi-functional teams to deliver seamless and bug-free web experiences. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of web technologies, testing methodologies, and a passion for driving quality assurance processes.Primary Skill: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with a strong background in web application testing.2+ years of experience in a leadership role, handling and mentoring QA teams.Strong analytical skills to identify, prioritize, and resolve sophisticated issues.Excellent interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate optimally across teams.Experience in design, development and maintenance of automated test script using Playwright, Javascript and Typescript.Experience with version control systems like Git, and familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.In-depth knowledge of testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall), test automation strategies, and defect tracking.Extensive knowledge in node/yarn package manager.Extensive knowledge in Function testing (Manual, E2E, Integration, API and DB testing).Knowledge to identify, log, and track defects using Testrail.Experience in API testing with Postman, Newman, and other similar tools including extensive knowledge of Postman framework design and collection update.Validated knowledge of Cucumber based framework for automation testing.Extensive knowledge of Python for automation testing.Good knowledge of Jmeter for performance testing.Knowledge of SQL and scripting to do database-side testing.Identify, log, and track defects using TestRail or a similar tool.Responsibilities:Own the planning, development, and execution of manual and automated tests for web applications, ensuring high-quality software delivery.Design, implement, and maintain test plans, test cases, and test scripts for functional, regression, performance, and security testing.Manage and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing technical mentorship, training, and career development.Collaborate with product managers, developers, and designers to define test requirements and specifications.Ensure accurate test coverage across all areas of the application, including functionality, performance, usability, and compatibility.Identify, document, and track defects using issue tracking systems (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), and work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution.Drive continuous improvement in QA processes, tools, and methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing lifecycle.Lead all aspects of automated test framework development and ensure automated tests are coordinated into the CI/CD pipeline.Conduct performance and load testing to ensure the web application scales effectively under varying traffic conditions.Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest trends in web application testing, tools, and standard processes.About Company:LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group) is more than a diversified global financial markets infrastructure and data business.
