Job Description

Overall Responsibilities:


  • Provide expertise in the planning, constructing and execution of test scripts. Apply business and functional knowledge including testing standards, guidelines, and testing methodology to meet the teams overall test objectives. Ensure all testing results are easily accessible and understandable. Track defects to closure and keep defect repository up-to-date. It is Hybrid Testing role where 30 percent time should be spent on Manual Testing.
    Must Have Skills : Automation Testing using selenium Java |ETL Testing | API Testing | Database Testing

     


    • Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system;
    • Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios;
    • Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases;
    • Build test automation frameworks;
    • Log and document bugs in the tracking system;
    • Set up Continuous Integration.
    • Should be able to write sql queries for analysing the testing data in Database.
    • Working knowledge of data driven testing using automation is good to have.

Skills:


  • Technical Skills – Require programming skills to write computer code and scripts in common computer languages, such as Java
    • Suggest /Make framework enhancements to accommodate the scripting needs
    • Analytical skills – Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes
    Communication skills – Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors


    Good To Have Skills: Basic of AWS services.


Experience:


  • 8-10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing, with at least 7+ years of experience in leading teams.
  • Proven track record of delivering high-quality, reliable software applications.
  • Experience in working in a fast-paced, Agile development environment.

Day-to-Day Activities:


  • Oversee the development and implementation of automated test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Review test results and ensure that any identified defects are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.
  • Lead the continuous improvement of the automation testing process, including the adoption of new testing tools and methodologies.
  • Mentor and coach team members on testing best practices and new testing techniques.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, project management, and business teams, to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualification:


  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

  • Ability to mentor and guide team members effectively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
