You will be proficient in the product, understand its structure and architecture, its capabilities. You will capture market needs, customer input, usage, data and translate those into user stories that meet customer and market requirements and support the company’s strategy and technical innovation goals. The role possesses a unique blend of business and technical skills, a big-picture vision, and the drive to make that vision a reality.Role and Responsibilities:Drive product vision & strategy, business requirements documentation and analysisEnsure alignment to technology strategy throughout product life cycleManage the product profit & loss (P&L)Manage product area’s investment decisions, scope, roadmap, prioritiesUnderstand/monitor product's competitive and market landscapeConduct/attend visits, customer touch-bases, focus groups, conferencesSupport sales engineering and commercial/delivery/care teamsBe the product's subject-matter expert (SME) inside scrum teamsWrite scrum team stories, acceptance criteriaCreate, refine, prioritize scrum team's backlog, and accept workAttend scrum ceremonies and provide guidance to scrum teamsAnalyze, triage and troubleshoot maintenance issuesConduct demos (internal or external, as needed)Qualifications and Education Requirements:6 years of experience working with Hotels and travel technology6 years of experience in market-facing roles (e.g. engaging with customers and prospects)Business and technology-oriented, with a strong product and functional backgroundAbundant curiosity to delve into unfamiliar areas and quickly become proficientAbility to present a compelling solution to a business need that is grounded in technologyOwnership mindset of individual and team objectives; with both tactical and strategic thinking to ensure measurable resultsAbility to work independently and resolve professional, technical or operational project challenges in a creative, methodical mannerComfortable working in a team-oriented, highly collaborative virtual environment that is geographically distributedAbility to successfully navigate in a multi-stakeholder environment where there are often competing priorities, goals and challenges across our diverse set of internal and external customers and partnersExcellent self-organization skills, with the ability to manage and prioritize several projects in parallelStrong business acumen and situational awarenessMust have excellent written and verbal English communications skills, and be a strong public speaker comfortable presenting or demonstrating technology in front of large groups at all levels of an organizationProficient in Microsoft Office use for presentations and written communicationStoryteller and story mapperAble to well define a product’s feature setBachelors/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration or related fieldsExperience with Full-Service Carriers, Low-Cost Carriers or Travel AgenciesKnowledge of emerging trends in travel retailing and e-commerce (such as AI/ML, dynamic offers, etc.)Tech-savvy, ability to engage with Engineering colleagues to drive technical solutionsExperience with software development process with Java, C++, SQL is a plusWe will give careful consideration to your application and review your details against the position criteria.
