Lead- MYSQL DBA

Job Summary & Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain MySQL database instances in AWS environments. 
• Optimize database performance through tuning, indexing, and scaling. 
• Monitor database systems to ensure high availability, security, and performance. 
• Manage backup and recovery strategies in accordance with company policies. 
• Collaborate with development teams to design database schemas that support application requirements. 
• Troubleshoot database-related issues and provide corrective actions. 
• Implement and maintain database security best practices. 
• Stay current with database technologies, AWS services, and industry trends. 
• Perform database migrations between different AWS regions or instances. 
• Mongodb,Postgres clustering solution with installation, replication and sharding 

Required Skills:

• Proven experience as a MySQL Database Administrator in production environments. 
• Knowledge of DR setup, active-active master, active-passive master
• Extensive knowledge on mysql partitioning
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services (e.g., EC2, RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, S3, Redshift). 
• Strong understanding of database architecture, replication, and clustering. 
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries. 
• Experience with database performance tuning and monitoring tools. 
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve database integrity issues, performance bottlenecks, and replication issues. 
• Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills. 
• Experience with other database technologies (Mongodb, Postgres, Cassandra) 
• Understanding of Postgres database including replication & backup 
• Provide 24*7 support and familiar with on call rotation
