Summary
HMH is seeking an experienced IT Security Analyst with in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Defender to join our growing cybersecurity team. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents while ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of our IT systems.
Job Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts within the Microsoft Defender environment and respond to potential security incidents.
• Configure and manage Microsoft Defender policies and settings to ensure optimal security posture.
• Implement and maintain security best practices and standards for Microsoft Defender and related technologies.
• Collaborate with other IT team members to ensure secure integration and operation of all IT systems.
• Investigate and remediate security vulnerabilities and incidents promptly.
• Assist in the development and implementation of incident response plans and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance on security matters to business units and stakeholders.
• Continuously enhance knowledge of emerging security threats, trends and technologies.
   

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
   

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT security, preferably with hands-on experience with Microsoft Defender.
   

• Strong understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and best practices.
• Familiarity with other Microsoft security products and cloud services is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
   

• Certified in Microsoft security technologies, such as Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate.
• Ability to work independently and within a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Detail-oriented, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
• Proactive and self-motivated, with an eagerness to learn and grow within the role.
