The Lead IT Asset Research Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining a comprehensive catalog of IT assets, including software, hardware and Operating System products. This role involves conducting in-depth research, analyzing industry trends, and leading automation initiatives to ensure accurate and up-to-date content.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct extensive research on publishers, products, and related IT content to build and update a robust asset catalog.
- Collect and interpret product literature and technical documentation for catalog enrichment.
- Develop and maintain process documentation related to IT Asset Management (ITAM) content.
- Curate and organize data in a structured format for a leading cyber security platform.
- Monitor industry activities such as product releases, mergers & acquisitions, and vulnerability alerts.
- Lead and contribute to automation projects for data mining, analysis, and organization of large datasets.
- Collaborate with product development teams to integrate catalog-driven features into asset management solutions.
- Analyze licensing terms and conditions, including different license types and metrics.
- Conduct internal reviews of curated content and provide feedback for quality assurance.
- Support issue resolution by working closely with internal teams and addressing customer inquiries.
- Design and implement systems (manual and automated) to maintain the accuracy of content data.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members on areas of expertise.
Skills & Experience:
- 8-10 years of experience in market research, with a focus on IT asset management.
- Strong reading comprehension and ability to analyze technical documentation.
- In-depth understanding of suites, bundles, lifecycle management, licensing metrics, and part numbers.
- Experience managing product data.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel (advanced skills preferred).
- Knowledge of scripting for automated data gathering is a plus.
- Proven ability to lead automation projects and initiatives.
- Intermediate to advanced skills in SQL.
- Strong project management capabilities with experience driving projects independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
