12The Team: S&P Enterprise Data Management Team (EDM) is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join a global team of Cloud Engineers to support our data management platform used for acquiring, validating and distributing trade, operational, risk, financial and customer data.
 The Impact: As part of our managed hosting services offering, you will be making meaningful contribution by providing engineering support for our hosted clients. You would support 3-tier EDM hosting environment comprise of Windows as well as EKS clusters. What’s in it for you:

Responsibilities:  
  • Responsible with engaging various business stakeholders in achieving objectives (product DevOps teams, Cloud Operations for BAU, customers).
  • Set objectives for the team and is responsible for managing the delivery.
  • Relevant experience as a systems administrator in a systems operations role
  • Ability to work with virtualization technology
  • Working with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based solutions for the Hosted and Managed Services cloud platform
  • Be responsible for the planning, implementation and growth of the AWS cloud hosted infrastructure
  • Work alongside architecture and product engineering teams to design and implement any scalable software services
  • Ability to translate architectural requirements
  • Managing cloud environments in accordance with company security guidelines
  • Ability to deploy, manage, and operate scalable, highly available, and fault-tolerant systems
  • Experience in monitoring and auditing systems
  • Knowledge of networking concepts (e.g., DNS, TCP/IP, and firewalls)
  • Capability to select the appropriate services based on compute, data, or security requirements
  • Ability to estimate usage costs and identify operational cost control mechanisms
  • Capability to migrate on-premises workload to service providers
  • Training teams on the implementation of new cloud-based initiatives, providing associated training as required.
  • Building and designing web services in the cloud, along with implementing the set-up of geographically redundant services.
What We’re Looking For:  Individual Contributor Role  
  • Total Experience 10-12+ in relevant technologies.  
  • Practical experience in Windows Server Administration, Active Directory setup, Networking, RD Gateway, and Single sign-on
  • MS SQL Server – Standard and Enterprise deployment setup and Understanding of HA setups.
  • Proven expertise on building and administering Windows infrastructure on AWS, knowledge on AWS networking, VPN, and firewalls.
  • Strong business acumen is essential.
  • Ability to prioritize activities by managing a constantly evolving plan measured against client requirements.
  • A natural, consultative style is essential to build client relationships and meet the evolving demands of a wide and diverse client base.
  • AWS certifications
  • Experience with SOA applications and cloud-based services, preferably AWS.
  • Knowledge of web services, API, REST and RPC.
  • Strong awareness of networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP and distributed networks.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills, and the ability to stay focused on completing tasks and meeting goals within a busy workspace
  • Interest in Cloud Engineering and its impact on greater business practices.
  • Skilled at working in tandem with a team of engineers, or alone as required.
  • Citrix experience will be useful.
