Job Title - Lead Engineer _ Automation Testing


Years of Experience - 5 - 7 Years


Role Overview:


Software development efforts are associated with engineering products. Individuals must have the ability to read and understand system requirements, formulate a software test design approach based on those requirements, develop test software aligned with defined coding standards & test the software. The candidate is expected to be taking ownership of Automation Framework development, building test strategy and to have a background in testing products and supporting troubleshooting and will be involved in all aspects of the system software development process (concept, design, validation and production). There will be frequent interaction with project management both locally and overseas and need to work with customers at global locations across different time zones.


On a typical day you will:


  • Develop and implement robust automation frameworks using industry-standard tools.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
  • Execute and refine automated test scripts to validate system functionalities and performance.
  • Analyze and report on automation test results, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to automated processes.
  • Maintain documentation for automation systems, including design specifications and test results.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices in automation.
  • Continuously evaluate emerging technologies to enhance automation strategies.

What You Will Need to be Successful: 


  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of professional experience in automation engineering.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C#.
  • Extensive experience with automation tools like Selenium, JMeter, or similar.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like ADO, Jenkins or GitLab.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a collaborative environment.

Preferred Qualifications:


  • Experience with cloud platforms like Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
  • Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies.
