Job Description


Job Purpose


  • Deliver & execute all the assigned projects on time with good quality, cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure technical deliverables matches project requirements. Save engineering cost through use of productivity tools, standardization, re-use & application of technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities


  • Deliver/execute projects and ensure to meet 100% quality (Scope, Schedule and Budget defined for a project) and high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure project implementation follows the procedure of RA engineering and as defined in SSB Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Standardization in project and applications. Maximize reusability of standardized documents, applications and engineering in projects.
  • Support Team Leader/Execution Manager in managing team performance, develop self and team capability and motivate the team to deliver with high productivity.
  • Lead Engineers from mix of SSB, Global Engineering Center and CWF to attain project scope within schedule and budget.
  • Break down project activities, identify effort/skills required to complete the activities and sequence the activities. Communicates to his manager regarding the resource requirement as per the schedule of project activities.
  • Proactive communication to team lead/ Execution Manager and Customer during project execution.
  • Keep improving self-engineering capabilities and exchange best practice with other team members to improve team’s capabilities.
  • Cost reduction through process & manufacturing improvement, through development of reusable engineering, engineering standardization and use of available productivity tools.
  • Work closely with the project management team to achieve customer acceptance. Demonstrate application & technical expertise to get repeat orders and retain customer satisfaction. Participates in capability demonstrations and sales support activities whenever required.

Job Related Competencies


  • Technical expert on RA hardware and software products like Control Logix, Logix 5000/Studio 5000, FT View SE, FT Batch. Additionally, candidates having good knowledge of FT Historian, FT Asset Management and Reporting tools like FT Vantage Point and SQL application will get preferred. Candidates with expertise on similar products from other makes and who are quick learners may also apply.
  • Good level of knowledge in Integrated Architecture, Standard Drives, Conventional/Intelligent Motor Control, Safety Products, MES / Information Systems, Networking and a basic understanding of Motion Control, Medium Voltage Product and Drive System.
  • High level of Application Knowledge in Consumer Goods, Food & beverage and basic understanding of Project Management, Lean Six Sigma Skill, EHS (Environment, Health & Safety).
  • Min 5-6 years of commissioning exposure of large process domain projects.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE


  • Instrumentation / Control / Electronics Engineer.
  • 10 to 12 years of relevant experience in application and engineering of the Automation System in Food & Beverage domain. Efficient in handling the execution of project activities, executes critical project activities and gets the work delivered from team members.
  • Should have gone through complete project life cycle from design phase to commissioning Food & Beverage Industry.
  • Candidate with multiple industry domain (Food & beverages, Consumer Goods etc.) Knowledge will be preferred.
  • Should have good understanding of Batch, Continuous and Discrete process. Should have sound knowledge of S88 standards, S95 Standards.
  • Candidate with Knowledge of IDC, Virtual Machines and networking will get additional consideration.
  • Is cost conscious and keeps an update of the cost incurred versus planned. Takes decisions during project execution to support the PM control project costs.
