Key Responsibilities:
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Design, implement, and maintain IaC solutions using tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and other frameworks.
- Automate provisioning, configuration, and management of cloud infrastructure across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
Cloud Management:
- Architect and manage cloud environments to ensure high availability, resiliency, scalability, and cost optimization.
- Leverage multi-cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for hosting applications and services.
CI/CD Pipelines and Automation:
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for seamless application deployment using GitLab, Jenkins, or similar tools.
- Implement Helm charts, Ansible playbooks, and YAML configurations for automation.
Monitoring and Observability:
- Configure and maintain monitoring and logging tools such as Datadog, Splunk, and Prometheus to ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Establish best practices for incident response and performance tuning.
Scripting and Development:
- Automate repetitive tasks and processes using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Develop custom tools and scripts to enhance operational efficiency.
Collaboration and Support:
- Work closely with development teams to support feature releases and troubleshoot application issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 availability of critical systems.
- Document all processes, automation scripts, and configurations for team collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Minimum Requirements:
Experience and Skills:
- 5+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure management, or related roles.
- Hands-on experience with IaC tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
- Proficiency in managing AWS, GCP, and Azure environments.
- Expertise in monitoring tools like Datadog, Splunk, and open-source alternatives.
- Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration tools like Kubernetes and Docker.
- Familiarity with databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, etc.) and RESTful APIs.
- Knowledge Areas:
- CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, ArgoCD, etc.).
- Security best practices and compliance in cloud environments.
- Operational concepts like change management, incident management, and disaster recovery.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with PaaS technologies (Kubernetes, OpenShift, etc.).
- Familiarity with ITIL or COBIT processes.
- Certification in cloud platforms such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Google Cloud Professional DevOps Engineer, or Microsoft Azure DevOps Engineer Expert.
- Knowledge of additional programming languages like Go, Ruby, or Java.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a globally distributed team.
