Job DescriptionLead Data Architect We are seeking a talented, motivated and self-driven professional to join the HH Digital, Data & Analytics (HHDDA) organization and play an active role in Human Health transformation journey to become the premier “Data First” commercial biopharma organization.As a Lead Data Architect, you will be part of the HHDDA Commercial Data Solutions team, providing technical/data expertise development of analytical data products and is responsible for understanding business challenges will play a crucial part in designing and optimizing conceptual, logical, scalable database models. This position will be responsible for a broad range of activities, include analyzing system requirements, implementing data migration strategies, and ensuring the efficient and secure storage of organization’s information. This individual is expected to be collaborative and a strong team player, interacting with multiple internal and external groups, to influence decision-making for the teams they support, while working closely with the team.This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the development of our data architecture and make a significant impact on the success of our organization.Your specific responsibilities will include:In collaboration with the Product Owner and Lead Engineer, the Data Architect will manage the following:·Understand business use cases – solutions, challenge and prioritize data requirements, discuss and lead product scaling and flexibilityDesign advanced conceptual, logical and physical data organizations, data models, repository, dashboards, reports within a complete functional and technical architecturePartners with other enterprise architects, infrastructure, and software experts to define metadata layers, technical strategy, and optimal integration within existing landscape Translate to technical designers or developers designed solution, review proposed solution, and optimize it when requiredCoordinate with the relevant teams to identify future needs and requirements pertaining to data and designEnsure business access to adequate, understandable, accurate dataDesign, develop and continuously improve supporting activities (automation of versioning and release management, scheduling, security models, impact assessment of new changes …)·Manage the end to end architecture for the whole life cycle of the domain and solution productEducation:B.Tech / B.S., M.Tech / M.S. or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare, Data Science, Business, or related field.Required experience: 10+ years of relevant work experience in the pharmaceutical/life sciences industry, with demonstrated hands-on experience in analyzing, modeling and extracting insights from commercial/marketing analytics datasets (specifically, real-world datasets)Experience in working closely with all business lines to identify business needs and analytics opportunitiesHigh proficiency in SQL, Python and AWSExperience creating / adopting data models to meet requirements from Marketing, Data Science, Visualization stakeholdersExperience with including feature engineeringExperience with cloud-based (AWS / GCP / Azure) data management platforms and typical storage/compute services (Databricks, Snowflake, Redshift, etc.)Experience with creating models modern data stack tools such as Matillion, Starburst, ThoughtSpot and low-code tools (e.g. Dataiku)Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to quickly establish productive working relationships with a variety of stakeholdersExperience in analytics use cases of pharmaceutical products and vaccinesExperience in market analytics and related use casesPreferred Experience:Experience in analytics use cases focused on informing marketing strategies and commercial execution of pharmaceutical products and vaccinesExperience with Agile ways of working, leading or working as part of scrum teamsCertifications in AWS and/or modern data technologiesKnowledge of the commercial/marketing analytics data landscape and key data sources/vendorsExperience in building data models for data science and visualization/reporting products, in collaboration with data scientists, report developers and business stakeholdersExperience with data visualization technologies (e.g, PowerBI)Current Employees apply HERECurrent Contingent Workers apply HERESearch Firm Representatives Please Read Carefully Merck & Co., Inc., Rahway, NJ, USA, also known as Merck Sharp & Dohme LLC, Rahway, NJ, USA, does not accept unsolicited assistance from search firms for employment opportunities.
