The Team
The Quality group within the Public Ownership domain is primarily responsible for quality assurance, identifying inaccuracies, and reporting inconsistent data. The public ownership domain mainly involves collecting, mapping, and maintaining the shareholding data for publicly listed companies globally. Ownership data is sourced through different filings, such as annual reports and exchange notifications, and then mapped to the respective owners.


The Impact
This role is within the Public Ownership operation group. It will be responsible for driving the quality of the Public Ownership dataset. In addition to day-to-day interaction within the team, this role would require working with peers, being involved in process improvement projects, and interacting with cross-location teams. This position is an excellent stepping-stone to understanding the Public Ownership domain that will allow you to gain a comprehensive understanding of investment data and analytics in the marketplace and apply this knowledge to your daily responsibilities.

Responsibilities:


  • Projects: Be able to independently handle projects/workflows or any other task at hand, delivering high quality and within deadlines
  • Data Analysis and Insights: Deep dive into data analysis of each allocated project and drive discussions to closure with stakeholders on workflow/procedure improvement through findings
  • Training: Carry out process training for new hires and refresher sessions. Ensuring procedures are aligned across ownership teams and training manuals are updated with the latest guidelines
  • Workflows: Understand the overall working of the dataset, be aware of the workflows, and have a strong working knowledge of work tools
  • SQL: Provide inputs and ideas for new SQL reports, process improvement, and product enhancements related to the dataset
  • Advanced Excel: High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel, able to perform complex data analysis, utilize advanced formulas, create sophisticated charts, visually appealing dashboards, and potentially even program using Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) to automate tasks within spreadsheets
  • Innovation: Identify new projects, lean/automation ideas, new policy proposals and enhancements as part of daily work
  • Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. Articulate and fluent verbal and written communication.
  • Mindset: Attention to detail, flexibility, and problem-solving abilities. Solution-oriented mindset and ability to detect issues with solutions

What We’re Looking For


  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent work experience (preferably in business management, finance, or quality control)
  • Demonstrates the ability to manage communication effectively & independently with different stakeholders
  • Able to carry out day-to-day BAU work with minimal assistance.
  • Expert understanding of the process, working tools, and workflows.
  • Has a good command over the mentee’s work. Create a supervision and monitoring mechanism to enhance the mentee's performance.
  • Able to multi-task across different projects and allocations.
  • Projects: Managed at least one lean or automation project in the last year (automation project approved by the company standards)
  • Has acquired additional technical skills (SQL/VBA/Power BI/Tableau) and has used these skills to successfully deliver a project and add value to the team.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards such as Six Sigma or Lean methodologies will be a bonus
  • Analyzing quality results and providing actionable insights to stakeholders.
