About the Role:
We're looking for a passionate Product Designer (currently Lead Product Designer as individual contributor role) to join our Nature Navigator team. In this role, you will elevate the end-to-end user experience of our product, focusing on crafting delightful and seamless journeys across all touchpoints. You will work closely with Product Management, UX Researchers, UX/UI Designers, the broader product team and other stakeholders to redefine and continuously improve the holistic product experience.
Nature Navigator's mission is to help research decision makers taking better research decision. We envision to democratise research intelligence to wider audience irrespective of their analytical skills. Your role is pivotal in aligning the product’s design strategy with this mission and vision.
The job is based in our Pune hub, with team members in London (UK), Heidelberg and Berlin (Germany), Beijing (China) and New York (USA). We offer hybrid working arrangements, requiring attendance in the office two days a week. You'll be part of our vibrant community of product and design professionals across global locations.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Drive the entire design process, from discovery and ideation through problem framing, prototyping and final execution resulting in high-fidelity designs that significantly impact our business objectives.
Utilize critical and strategic thinking to collaboratively develop a long-term vision for the product alongside the product manager.
Collaborate with UX Researchers, UX Designers, UI Designers, and Data Visualisation Experts to integrate diverse insights from customer feedback and research activities, crafting delightful, intuitive product journeys and evolve those continuously.
Differentiate our products through simple, cohesive, and memorable user experiences, ensuring design stands out as a key product differentiator.
Transform complex data analytics and data science achievements into intuitive and accessible product components, democratizing insights generation for users with varying expertise levels.
Lead strategic discussions to align design solutions with overarching product and business goals.
Work in tandem with teams from other solutions within the NRI and broader SN portfolio to create seamless and valuable cross-product journeys bringing additional value to our users.
Partner with cross-functional teams to seamlessly incorporate user-centred design methodologies into the product lifecycle.
Build and foster a culture of innovation and collaboration within the product, design, and wider organizational teams.
What you will be doing:
Within 3 Months you will:
Fully immerse yourself in understanding the Nature Navigator product and user landscape.
Build relationships with key stakeholders, understanding their visions and insights
Sharing your first impressions with the NRI leadership on the gaps and potential suggestions
Familiarize yourself with existing design practices and suggest initial improvements.
By 3-6 months you will:
Lead individual initiatives that improve the experience of the Nature Navigator
Engage in ongoing user research and discovery, refining design processes and priorities.
Lead the design delivery process, ensuring designs are reviewed, critiqued, and aligned with the brand vision and user needs.
Collaborate regularly with stakeholders, facilitating workshops, and championing user-centric design.
By 6-12 months you will:
Use all available feedback and insights together with your own research findings to identify gaps and opportunities, shaping a long-term plan that aligns with user needs and business goals.
Contribute to strategic product planning sessions, offering expertise on user experience and advocating for designs that enhance user satisfaction and engagement.
Continuously refine design solutions, integrating new insights into the product and design system.
About You
You have solid experience in Product Design, with a focus on task-heavy applications and digital products preferably in the B2B space
You approach problems focused on outcomes over outputs and your portfolio demonstrates design thinking, a user-centric approach, and the ability to translate insights into effective design solutions.
You're adept at bridging the gap between design and strategy, confidently engaging with stakeholders and encouraging collaboration.
You are a good storyteller for your users and have experience with data-heavy products and creating insights, such as dashboard and data visualisations.
You have a strong understanding of user-centred design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
You have experience in leading the end-to-end design process from ideation and user research to prototyping, testing, and final implementation
You have experience developing, working with and contributing to design systems, ensuring design consistency and scalability.
You thrive in a team-oriented environment, valuing collective ownership and diverse perspectives in shaping product experiences.
You're proactive in your professional development, eager to learn, share, and contribute to the design community.
You are an expert in design and prototyping tools like Figma, and familiar with collaboration tools like Miro.
Strong command of English is crucial; you must communicate clearly and effectively, both in conveying your ideas and understanding others
