Introduction to role


As a Lead Consultant - M&A IT Business Partner, you will be the subject matter expert in regulatory information and content migration, owning the M&A IT-related process framework. You will be responsible for overseeing the operational tasks of the capability on your own, working closely with the delivery team and receiving guidance from the capability lead. Your key responsibilities will include planning, preparation, and execution of all incoming and outgoing content migration to/from AstraZeneca systems, across 20+ deals with varied scope and complexity.


This role requires a hybrid set of technical, business domain, and project management skills. You will support and enable a diverse delivery team and multi-functional project teams. Partnering with business functions across AstraZeneca (Regulatory, Clinical, Non-Clinical, CMC), you will deliver M&A IT content migration capabilities.


Accountabilities

Process framework ownership:


  • Ensure M&A IT requirements are known, raised, and considered in the change process of AZ Veeva implementation for RIMS.
  • Support the Capability lead with content management related transfer strategy for new deals.
  • Identify, create, implement, and govern transfer-related processes.
  • Lead continuous improvement of these processes, including demonstrating the AZ Veeva platform teams.
  • Identify areas for innovation, automation, and improvement; lead or participate in implementation.
Operational delivery oversight and support:
  • Collaborate closely with Workstream Leads and be the point of contact for all migration operational questions.
  • Lead all aspects of all document transfer work; support workstream leads to prioritize and control planning and execution.
  • Ensure risks & issues management processes are in place and effectively used.
  • Provide awareness and training for the delivery team to close any knowledge gaps.
  • Independently make decisions, take ownership, and resolve problems as they arise.
  • Communicate delivery status, issues, risks, and opportunities to the Capability lead.
  • Lead/participate in regular connects with GRO, ERV team, and other regulatory operational partners.
Deputy for migration Capability Lead:
  • Represent the migration Capability in deal meetings and other forums as deputy for the capability lead.
  • Establish and nurture relationships with key regulatory partners to understand business needs and improvement areas in transfer processes.
  • Collaborate closely with Workstream Leads and Capability lead to ensure transparency in information sharing, manage risk, and strengthen the capability.
Essential Skills/Experience
  • Extensive RIMS content migration and document management understanding and experience including basic understanding of GxP data & processes.
  • 5+ years of experience working with processes & systems in Regulatory Affairs or Regulatory Operations.
  • Experience and understanding of the importance of process documentation and framework as an enabler for quality delivery.
  • Ability to translate intuition for business to a technical delivery team to raise awareness and develop their regulatory operational know-how.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work closely in and across diverse global teams.
  • Project Management skills and experience of leading, managing, and controlling projects and team work.
  • A self-starter with high levels of drive, energy, resilience.
Desirable Skills/Experience
  • Strong decision maker even with limited information.
  • Experience of and an interest in coaching and developing others.
  • Flexible & open to expanding the remit to other M&A aspects.
