What you do
This position is a great opportunity for those who wish to gain knowledge in IoT systems at the largest IoT company in the world and at the same time develop and share your experience with peers. You work alongside our software development engineers on Hue Connected Home Lighting, and innovative solutions for our challenges in the domains of IoT and Identity Management.
- Design and implement cloud components and infrastructure around identity management, content distribution with strong privacy and/or security aspects.
- Work with a CI/CD pipeline according to the DevOps principles and contribute to operating the cloud components after release.
- Contribute to technological improvements through investigations and concept studies with other specialists.
- Analyze and investigate field issues, gather requirements based on customer feedback, and propose design changes to improve the operational performance and quality of the Hue Cloud
- Be part of an Agile SW development and contribute to continuous improvements on our development practices and process.
- Interact with other teams to integrate Hue Cloud services with other Hue products, like the Hue Bridge, Hue Mobile Apps, and 3rd party apps and services.
What you need
You are a highly self-steering professional with a passion for home automation and networking, able to challenge and steer peers to design, develop, and deliver reliable and quality software releases.
- Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Minimally 10 years of experience with developing cloud-based services on public cloud platforms (ideally GCP) in a continuous delivery environment with daily deliveries to production. Certification desired.
- Proven experience in DevOps continuous delivery concepts and technologies such as automation, containers, docker, container orchestration, Kubernetes, docker swarm, infrastructure as code, etc.
- Passion to work with Internet-connected products and modern web languages like JavaScript, Python, NodeJS, Go.
- An understanding of identity management, privacy and security.
- Drive to improve the user experience and interaction of our customers.
- Eager to learn about the latest innovations on the Internet-of-Things domain.
- Deliver high quality work to the agreed deadlines in an innovative environment.
- You are proud of what you do and have a deep passion to do things right.
- You have a solid understanding of the agile development process and experience with TDD is a plus.
- You can communicate and discuss ideas and features with your team and stakeholders.
