What you do

- Support and maintain complex test execution setups in the cloud, designed for IoT products.
- Host cloud infrastructure for other teams, ensuring high availability and scalability in public cloud environments (AWS, GCP).
- Implement and maintain IaC (infrastructure as code) using tools such as Terraform to ensure repeatable and consistent infrastructure setups.
- Collaborate with development teams to define and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and GitLab runners, facilitating seamless deployment processes.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts using one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Golang, Java, bash).
- Provide technical expertise in public cloud environments, with a focus on AWS and GCP, ensuring best practices are followed in all cloud deployments.
- Apply SRE (Site Reliability Engineering) principles, ensuring reliability, observability, and performance.
- Contribute to initiatives that enhance developer experience and streamline access to resources, such as internal developer portals (IDP).
- Advocate and evangelize cloud best practices within the organization, ensuring teams are informed of new technologies and processes that can drive success.
What you need
We are looking for a Senior Cloud Platform Engineer with affinity for supporting cross-functional teams. Candidates with one or more of the following skills have preference:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 10+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency with cloud environments, especially AWS and GCP.
- Proficiency in two or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Golang, Java, TypeScript).
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
- Strong understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with Terraform.
- Familiarity with cloud-native technologies and the CNCF landscape (e.g., Kubernetes, Helm, etc.).
- Passion for writing clear, concise, and well-organized documentation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex system-level issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and across teams.
- Experience in setting up or managing Internal Developer Portals (IDP) such as Backstage is a plus.
- Experience with or willingness to drive initiatives aimed at unifying the tech stack across multiple teams or departments is a plus.
- Experience with containerization and virtualization environments (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
- Familiarity with IoT systems and communication protocols is a plus.
- You have good knowledge of English both written and verbal, excellent communication skills.
