We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Lead Consultant Specialist


In this role, you will:


  • Lead the scoping of Open Banking and Open Finance initiatives for HSBC’s digital channels, aligning with global and regional strategies.
  • Define and drive channel strategies that enhance customer engagement and experience through innovative Open Banking capabilities.
  • Provide leadership to development teams, ensuring high-quality deliverables and alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Gather and document business requirements for channel solutions, ensuring alignment with Open Banking and Open Finance frameworks.
  • Collaborate with Program management, IT and product teams to design robust APIs, engage and support architecture in Data Mapping and categorization exercises for seamless integrations, and intuitive customer journeys.
  • Lead workshops and discussions to identify customer pain points and opportunities for digital innovation.
  • Ensure all channel and Open Banking solutions comply with local regulatory requirements, including all financial and data privacy regulations, as well as global standards like PSD2, PDPL and GDPR.
  • Identify risks associated with Open Banking and channel innovations, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Act as a key point of contact for Open Banking and channel-related projects, engaging with internal teams, regulators, and external partners.
  • Provide regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership and program manager for ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Partner with regional and global teams to drive the adoption of Open Finance principles.
  • Oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for Open Banking and channel solutions, ensuring compliance and functionality.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the success of initiatives and identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver comprehensive reports on project progress, risks, and performance to stakeholders.
