Lead Automation Engineer

Location: Mumbai/Pune

 RESPONSIBILITIES

As a Lead Automation Engineer at Seclore, you will be responsible for driving both software development automation and automating company processes to enhance overall productivity and efficiency. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and leading automation strategies across the organization.

With your expertise, you research and determine the most effective and practical solutions for complex automation challenges. You estimate work efforts, manage priorities, and ensure timely deliveries. You mentor, train, and help grow team members in automation techniques and technologies. You design, develop, test, maintain, and enhance automation frameworks and processes. Additionally, you innovate, ideate, and experiment to address complex and unprecedented automation problems.

• Automation Strategy & Implementation: Design, develop, and maintain robust automation frameworks and scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing in the software development process.
• Process Automation: Identify, design, and implement automation solutions to streamline business processes, reduce manual work, and increase throughput across different departments.
• Leadership & Mentoring: Lead and mentor a team of automation engineers, providing guidance on best practices, coding standards, and automation techniques.
• Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD): Build CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous testing and faster release cycles.
• Business Process Optimization: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand current workflows and processes and develop automation solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Tool & Technology Evaluation: Evaluate and recommend new tools, technologies, and methodologies to enhance both software and business process automation.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, QA, DevOps, product managers, and business units, to ensure comprehensive automation coverage.
• Code Reviews & Optimization: Conduct code reviews for automation scripts and contribute to the optimization of existing automation frameworks.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation for automation processes, tools, and frameworks, including business process automation.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENT:

• 7 to 10 years of experience in automation, with at least 3 years in a lead role, including experience in automating business processes.
• BE / B. Tech / MCA / PGDST or equivalent degree from reputed institute
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java and Python.
• Extensive experience with automation tools such as Selenium, Winium, Winapp, Appium or similar.
• Strong knowledge of CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or Bamboo.
• Experience with business process automation tools and technologies.
• Knowledge of version control systems like Git and containerization tools like Docker.
• Experience in mentoring and guiding team for technical skills
• Attitude, perseverance, innovation, and curiosity to meet and overcome challenges
• Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English
