The Center for Innovation in Diagnostics Group of Siemens Healthineers at Bangalore, India is looking to recruit candidate who has a keen interest and passion for facilitating inter-disciplinary experimental research. This person will be involved in assisting research professionals in the conduct of biological, biochemical experiments and managing laboratory operations. 
What are my responsibilities?
  • Assist in the conduct of biochemical experiments, compilation and interpreting of experimental data.
  • Operate specialized instruments in biological labs needed for efficient and safe conduct of workflows.
  • Ensure adequate inventory of needed supplies (reagents, chemicals, consumables, parts) by coordinating with project leaders, procurement team and external vendors.
  • Perform periodic equipment inspections and preventative maintenance work. 
  • Prepare measurement and test equipment (e.g. instrumentation and functionality tests) needed for conduct of experiments.
  • Troubleshoot and fix test equipment as needed. 
  • Maintain preventive maintenance service records pertaining to instruments and key equipment.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of relevant experience in biochemical and biological labs
  • Strong practical knowledge in operation of various laboratory equipment needed for the conduct of biological workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability in the management of inventory, record-keeping of key laboratory equipment and interfacing with external vendors. 
  • Hands-on experience with laboratory safety practices, chemical handling and storage
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Creative, self-directed, and a team player with an ability to take ownership and accountability of assigned tasks.
