Job Description

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations — from foundational services such as Amazon’s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS’s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you’ll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.
The AWS Bedrock Core Systems (BRCS) team is responsible for building and enhancing the core platform experience of the Bedrock GenAI ecosystem. The team is driving critical initiatives to accelerate the Bedrock roadmap and deliver exceptional customer outcomes. Experience with Data engineering and/or Gen AI core primitives such as Model evaluation, Fine Tuning, Data augmentation etc is preferred, but not required. This position within the AWS ML/AI team presents a unique and rare opportunity to get in on the ground floor within a fast growing business and help shape the technology, product and the business. A successful candidate will bring deep technical and software expertise, desire to have an industry wide impact and ability to work within a fast moving, startup environment in a large company to rapidly deliver services that have a broad business impact.
What we own :
* Building a world-class forecasting platform that scales to handle customer requests in AWS ML/AI Services
* Expanding inventory replenishment models and systems in the fast-growing AWS GenAI Bedrock service product portfolio.
* Finding out the optimal tradeoff between AWS service availability and fleet utilization.
* Driving fleet utilization improvement where each 1% means millions of additional free cash flow.
* Automating tactical and strategic capacity planning tools to optimize for service availability and infrastructure cost.
What you will learn:
* GenAI foundational primitives such as Model evaluation, Fine Tuning, Data augmentation etc
* ML/AI capacity management and metrics for the AWS GenAI Services
* Resource management and admission control for the Cloud.
* The internals of all AWS services.
* How to build large scale distributed systems for both internal and external AWS customers.
* Develop deep and broad technical expertise to mentor engineers and provide leadership on complex technical issues
Key job responsibilities
In this role, you will..
Help define front end architectures, own and implement specific components, and help shape the overall user experience
Contributing to defining best practices for front end development
Collaborate closely with UX Designers, Product Managers, and generalist Software Development Engineers on the same team to help deliver the product.
Contribute to planning, design, implementation, testing, operations, and process improvement as a member of an autonomous team.
Take responsibility for technical problem-solving, creatively meeting product goals, and developing best practices.
You will design and develop React based web applications and leverage component libraries such as MUI
Write high-quality, efficient, testable code in React JS
Mentor and support the growth of other developers.
Key job responsibilities
Designs, develops, tests, and deploys software
Can troubleshoot software failures
Part of an on-call rotation
Mentor SDEs/Interns in team and influence peers/related teams to proactively simplify process, code and architecture deficiencies.

- 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
- 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience
- Experience using JavaScript frameworks such as angular and react
- 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
- Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node
