Job Description

Purpose of Position: The Solutions Architect will be responsible for :
The solution architect – Forecourt Automation - exists to provide technical advice and support to
the sales team, link the needs and desires of the customer to a technically feasible solution, and 
coordinate product development across R&D/engineering teams.


Key Responsibilities: 
• Provide pre-sales and post-sale technical support to business and customers.
• Accompany the Strategic Account Manager to discuss specific product sets and solutions to 
  granular detail when interacting with the technical teams of the customers.
• Present existing technical capabilities to the customer and assist in gathering customer
  requirements and thinking through the technical methods of delivering to customer needs.
• Supports R&D/engineering teams in the development of requirements, for process or system 
  solutions, which may span multiple business domains by leveraging partnerships with 
  stakeholders and appropriate IT teams.
• Defines the impact of requirements on upstream and downstream Automation and related 
  solution components in the Oil and Gas Industry, 
• Work with the Service Technical team to maximize all opportunities to raise the technical ability 
  and effectiveness of Service Engineers in the Region.
• Help handover tender technical requirements to the Service/ Projects team and liaise with the 
  Projects Manager on all technical matters.
• Provides insight and influence business leaders on how to integrate requirements with current 
  systems and business processes.
• Reviews, evaluates, and prioritizes value gaps and opportunities for process enhancements or 
  efficiencies.


Education & Experience: The ideal candidate will have 
8-10 years of engineering experience in either Automation, software, or system integration
Domain expertise in Automation in the Oil and Gas Industry, preferably with the Oil 
Manufacturing Companies and retail outlet Automation
In depth experience in Automation, Cloud servers and connectivity, IOT, payment gateways,
connectivity, digital payment systems, integration to Automation devices, networking etc.
Graduation/ Degree: Degree in Electrical, Electronics, IT, Instrumentation, Mechanical or 
Systems Engineering


Background and Skills: The ideal candidate will have 
• Domain (Preferred Industry) – Petroleum Downstream /Petroleum Retail
• Strong organization and interpersonal skills 
• Detail oriented and thorough
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills
