QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate in finance or economics/MBA
- Good understanding of insurance concepts and knowledge of financial products and/or insurance operations and sound knowledge of industry issues and competitive trends would be helpful
- Proficiency in advanced Excel, including macros; creating regression equations; strong analytical skills (SQL; SPSS; Tableau; Alteryx is a plus)
- Superior problem-solving, analytical, and quantitative skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Professional attitude and service orientation
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team
- Willing to work in a highly demanding and result-oriented team environment

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will work in McKinsey’s Client Capability hub in Bangalore within Panorama Financial Institutions Center (PFIC).
PFIC is one of the largest Knowledge and Expert consulting capability globally and part of the FIG practice, with 260+ members and a global footprint across 25+ locations, focusing on financial services domains, e.g., Retail banking, Corporate & Investment Banking, Wealth & Asset Management, Fintech, and Insurance to name a few.
The Insurance team within PFIC also has a global footprint, with ~45 members based across Gurgaon, Bangalore, Shanghai, Waltham, Frankfurt, Paris, Monterrey, Tokyo and San Jose (CR), Mexico and Singapore.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
The primary job responsibilities of Junior Capabilities & Insights Analyst (JCIA) would fall into three categories - collecting, analyzing and synthesizing information that serve as critical inputs to client service teams.
You will develop expertise in a particular industry/function and support McKinsey consulting teams on client engagements or projects with research requirements within a specific domain.
As a JCIA you will be expected to possess and build a good understanding of industry trends/issues and have distinctive areas of expertise in your area. You will work directly with clients, consultants and fellow researchers on analysis that requires in-depth research, data modeling and client-ready presentation material.
