Job Description
Main Responsibilities
- Sampling & QC Check of crude /refined/expeller oil received at Plant
- Sampling & QC Check of other Raw Material /Packaging Material received at Plant
- QC Checking of Bulk Chemicals / fuels samples
- In process checking of Oils at different stages of processing
- Checking of Crude / refined Oil in storage tanks
- Preparation of result slips for each lot.
- QC checking of empty tankers for dispatch of refined oils and by-products
- Testing of refined oils / packed goods/ by-products samples before dispatch
- Preparation of result slip / QC Lab Report for each lot/tanker dispatched
- Checking of all types Finished Goods in co-ordination with small pack ( Finished Goods Audit)
- On line Quality checking on packaging line. (To conduct on line audit)
- Conduct Market sample benchmarking
- To attend Customer complaint.
- Coordinate with tank farm operator for batch preparation of institutional buyers
- Coordinate with tank farm operator for daily loading activity
- Clearance of tanks/batches for packaging.
- Ensure every product shall comply quality requirements of internal specification and statutory requirements of PFA/W&M & VOP.
- Provide guidance about reprocess/rework/ tank diversion in case of any in process quality deviation.
- Inspection of empty tankers arriving for oil loading.
- Provide guidance about loading of tankers as per specific quality requirement of different buyers.
- Acceptance/Rejection of any raw material/bulk chemicals/fuel/packaging material as per quality guidelines
- To understand global SHE and Food safety requirements and follow the global guidelines
- To guide/train the people and ensure implementation of SHE system,
- To provide active support to SHE Management system implementation for critical items work permit system, accident /incident reporting, safety training etc. Provide support to organisation to meet SHE target.
Experience
- Possess not less than 6 years’ experience in edible oil refinery not less than 400 ton per day production capacity
- Possess not less than 6 years’ experience in bulk and consumer packing
- Good knowledge of specifications and analysis of soya, palm, vanaspati etc
- Added advantage if the candidate possess experience in Bakery shortening and lecithin
Other skills (Computer Skills, etc)
- Basic Computer knowledge required who can handle – Microsoft – XLS, WORD, PPT etc. & Manage mail for day-to-day routine activity.
- SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
