 Role: Jr. DB2 DBA                                       Location: OFFshore

Responsibilities:

• Designing and implementation of single and multi-partition db2 databases. Leverage of the DPF (Data Partition Feature) for parallel running at the OS level.
• Monitoring of db2 databases from the IBM DMC console and from the OS level.
• Maintenance on the database (reorg, runstats)
• Design and Implementation of DR and HA solutions
• Backup and restore (online/offline) db2 databases
• Create comprehensive documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures
• Database Upgrade and Patching
• Write Unix Script to automate the process
• DB2 Database Migration from on-prem AIX to AWS EC2 RHEL including 100TB+ DB2 Data Warehouse – work with IBM support team
• Installation, Configuration and maintenance of DB2 database on AWS EC2 RHEL.

Required Skills:

• 3+ years’ experience on production DB2 database management
• Knowledge on cross platform migration including from on-prem AIX db2 PDOA system to AWS IBM DW system.
• Knowledge of the implementation and usage of the DB2 IBM DPF to leverage parallel processing across partitioned db2 nodes.
• Skills on database and queries performance monitoring and tuning
• Knowledge of Hadoop or/and Cloudera Hadoop
• Experience of managing DB2 database on AWS – EC2 RHEL and AWS RDS is A plus
• Knowledge of AWS technologies, Terraform code and Jenkins is A plus
• Experience of Oracle/Cassandra/PostgreSQL is A plus
