Our Indian Operations Centre (INOPC) is a competence center with around 2600+ skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision, and commissioning. Over the last decade, INOPC has evolved to become the largest engineering hub serving more than 40 countries across different energy sectors. The team caters to the four business units—Transformers, Grid Integration, Grid Automation, High Voltage and has successfully executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.


Mission Statement: This role requires the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers, customers, and internal groups (this may be necessary to negotiate changes and influence decisions).


Your Responsibilities:


  • Lead the non-conformity resolution process with the suppliers and ensure the effective root-cause analysis and the counter-measure implementation by the suppliers.


  • Lead the escalation of the suppliers to HUB SQM in-case of the poor resolution of the identified issues.


  • Monitor and consolidate the supplier critical non-conformities escalated from projects.


  • Monitor and ensure the supplier quality costs and the claims are reported according to HE guidelines and instructions.


  • Ensure completion of annual Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) for the identified suppliers by the category management and local SCM Managers.


  • Identify the critical supplier list per category and define the improvement target(s) per supplier, in collaboration with Category management and local SCM Managers.


  • Support the supplier performance improvement actions for the targeted suppliers to meet the customer and the Hitachi Energy’s expectations (following DMAIC, A3 and/or 8D methodology).


  • Lead the escalation of the suppliers to HUB SQM in-case of uncollaborative suppliers & ensure completion of annual Supplier Performance Evaluations (SPE) for the identified suppliers by the category management and local SCM Managers.


  • Identify the critical supplier list per category and define the improvement target(s) per supplier, in collaboration with Category management and local SCM Managers.


  • Support the supplier performance improvement actions for the targeted suppliers to meet the customer and the Hitachi Energy’s expectations (following DMAIC, A3 and/or 8D methodology).


  • Lead the escalation of the suppliers to HUB SQM in-case of uncollaborative supplier & lead and execute the communication of “Lessons Learned”, “Business Case”, “Audit Findings”, “RCA” or other success stories from EU HUB SQ organization.


  • Assignments require thorough understanding of standard engineering concepts / principles, and in-depth knowledge of quality assurance programs & procedures.

Your Background:


  • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-oriented discipline.


  • Yiu should have 5+ years of professional experience working in supplier quality.


  • Recent professional experience focusing on supplier development is a plus.


  • Experience working with Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement practices (e.g., Kaizen, DMAIC, RCA). Green Belt Certification is a plus.


  • Experienced in managing 8D Methodologies.


  • Excellent communication skills (written & verbal) in English.


  • Good computer literacy.
