We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Senior Lead Consultant Specialist

Within HSBC’s Market and Securities Services department, Markets Control IT provides the technology solution for Data & Regulatory reporting business which is one of the important control functions within the bank. The team is engaged in the definition, development, and implementation of Data Controls for large front to back programs and demising existing vendor platforms by reengineering them on latest technology stack.Finance & Data and Regulatory Reporting (FDR) IT is part of MSS IT which primarily provide services to Finance and Middle Office business. Since last few years MSS IT is on transformation journey by adopting Agile methodology and DevOps practices. Recently business has approved a strategic initiative to migrate all the Markets Trade Conduct Controls from the existing vendor platform into Future State Architecture. This is multi-year project to be deliver on latest technology stack like advanced Java, Apache Beam, Spark, micro-services, Angular/React, ECS bucket, Cloud platform etc.We are embarking into the journey of Architecture transformation and Automation with strong focus on Innovation and building new capabilities and solutions with internal cloud infrastructure.We encourage our people to dive in, roll up their sleeves and take on the many opportunities bound to come their way. In this role, you will:

• Provide hands-on technical leadership to a team of engineers in delivering application design, build and upgrades to Markets Control IT architecture
• Work with the product owners and engineers to ensure that business and technical requirements are understood, and teams are following engineering best practices in building simpler, faster, and cheaper services.
• Create and foster an Engineering Centric culture in the Pods.
• Establish a technology environment and automate processes to minimize variation and ensure predictable high-quality code and data.
• Drive automating the continuous integration / continuous delivery pipeline within a DevSecOps Product/Service team driving a culture of continuous improvement.
• Identify risks and opportunities, both for IT and business to drive availability, performance, and resiliency of services
• Keep up to date and have expertise on current tools, framework and technologies in areas like cyber security, AI / ML and Data engineering
• Promote innovation and adoption of cutting-edge specialist technologies and practices with the Pods and across Markets Control IT
• Takes accountability and ownership of design and solutions
