About the Role:

Job Skill Requirement:

• Java 8+ and Spring Boot micro-services Distributed caching SQL and NoSQL databases Python 3.10+ Angular 10+, React 18+, and JavaScript.

Responsibilities :

• Design and develop applications using Java and Spring Boot technology using best practices for coding and testing.
• Lead and participate in Agile ceremonies and actively drive towards team goals
• Work independently using modern software development practices
• Work collaboratively with a global team of technologists
• Provide guidance and critical analysis of proposed changes during code reviews
• Manage communication and partner with our end users to design solutions
• Lead with ideas and innovation.

Skills Required :

• At least 14+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise-scale Java systems with Spring.
• Demonstrated experience designing and building reliable, resilient, scalable applications.
• Solid experience writing unit tests, component tests, and integration tests.
• Solid experience with relational databases using SQL.
• Experience with microservices and distributed systems
• Experience communicating directly with end users
• Strong Computer Science fundamental

Skills Desired:

• Experience with NoSQL databases Experience with C# / .NET for application development Understanding of financial markets and various financial instruments.

• We are looking for a driven individual who will join the portfolio solutions group squad and help deliver timely and scalable technology  to enhance how the portfolio managers conduct their business.
• PSG specializes in custom investment opportunities for our clients and as a result deal with the largest variety of investment vehicles.
• We are looking for a full stack individual who is senior enough that can have a systems discussion with and will be able to offer suggestions/counter proposals. 

Addition to Java : At least need 1 or more skill of the following:

• Python
• JS [modern Angular and React]
• SQL [Oracle & Sybase - able to read a query plan]
• C# [We have a C# system that we are likely to continue maintaining for the forseeable future]

Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certifications in Python or related fields would be advantageous.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eagerness to learn and adopt new technologies.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
