Role Description

• Developing of java micro services and support/own them, manage, and work across multiple Business areas of the Asset Management in IT Application/Infra, includes problem analysis, bug fixes, remediations, deployment and application ownership. It may also involve taking functional oversight of Engineering delivery for a major Change Request.
• This role will be key to our application maintenance and include working closely with stakeholders including Business, Operations, Client Service, Vendors, Engineering and QA to advise and contribute from Infra and Application stability and compliance perspective by supporting and maintaining Application/Infra, providing ease of operation and to oversee transition of any project to L2 support teams as part of Go-Live process.
• We are looking for a very motivated candidate with a passion for Java, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Kubernetes & Rest APIs.

Your key responsibilities

• Oversee the applications under ownership and help Client Service. Document Technical solutions and build KOP for the L2 team. 
• Ensure the Application compliance with Deutsche Bank / DWS Group IT policies, manage software licenses and vendor products.
• Problem solving skills, ability to dive deep to find the root of the problem.
• Enhance and support applications by L3 development bug fixes, test, deploy and maintaining software components.
• Manage Problem ticket/task, Deliverables and Remedial deadlines.
• Accountable for Third Party Risk Management compliances and Responsible for Vendor Relationship Management as and when required.
• Drives automation (incl. automated build, test and deploy).
• Support migration of on-premises Application, its existing functionalities to Cloud platform.
• Drives integration across systems, working to ensure service layer integrates with the core technology stack whilst ensuring that services integrate to form a service ecosystem.
• Monitors Application/Infra to ensure health and identify required corrective action.
• Knowledge of best practices and IT operations in an agile environment.
• Ability to deliver independently: confidently able to translate requirements into technical solutions with minimal supervision.

Your skills and experience

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in Java, Java related technologies for Front-end (good to have) and middle layer / backend especially Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Clou, Oracle (for backend) Java in a collaborative environment.
• Proven and Hands on experience developing software solutions.
• Good experience with DevOps build and deploy tools like TeamCity, Jenkins, GIT / Bit Bucket / Artifactory and knowledge about automation/ configuration management using tools such as Ansible/Maven/Gradle or relevant.
• A working understanding of scripting language such as (Python, Perl, Ruby, or JS).
• Experience with developing container-based applications and are familiar with container orchestration frameworks such as Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Familiar with cloud technologies and especially Google Cloud (Cloud Run, Kubernetes Engine, Cloud SQL).
• Established adapter/API based connectivity using REST API and SOAP web-services, transport protocols like HTTP, JMS, Web Services, and related technologies such as JSON, Swagger and XML
• Good experience in regards of Application observability i.e. monitoring, logging, tracing, etc.
• Experience or knowledge of Agile / Scrum methodologies.
• Experience or Knowledge on job scheduling tools (tools like ControlM, Airflow, Zena, Tivoli).
• Experience on integrating Kafka, IBM MQ, JMS, Solace, or any other messaging is a plus.
• Experience in working in microservices architectures frameworks.
• Experience on File transfer, Filenet, SFTP, MFT.
• Basic understanding of Networking and Firewalls.
• Fluent English (written/verbal).

Education and Certification

• Any relevant Java, Agile, ITIL, Cloud certification.
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Science, Engineering, or an IT-related discipline (or equivalent).
