Job Description

Position Overview


Synechron is seeking a dedicated and experienced Java Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong proficiency in Java development, contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications.


Software Requirements


  • Engage in the analysis, testing, and development of Java-based applications.
  • Develop automated tests and perform functional testing.
  • Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle.
  • Design, implement, and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.
  • Develop and implement custom software and database application capabilities for various systems.

Overall Responsibilities


  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Work on bug fixing and improving application performance.
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency.
  • Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and feature development.

Technical Skills


Java Development


  • Strong proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming.
  • Experience with Java libraries and frameworks.
  • Knowledge of AWS infrastructure is preferred.

Experience


  • Total Experience: 3 to 5 years
  • Relevant Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in Java development.
  • Proven work experience as a Java Developer or similar role.

Day-to-Day Activities


  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to ensure project success.
  • Write clean, scalable code using Java best practices.
  • Develop and maintain software documentation.
  • Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
  • Troubleshoot and debug applications to ensure optimal performance.

Educational Qualification


  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related areas.

Soft Skills


  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
